Penang Two-Day-Trip with FamilY-Part 1

Last weekend while I was shopping with my friend, Pang in Tesco, there was a phone call from my mum to ask whether is that possible to book hotel room in Cameron Highland or Langkawi for the family trip during this weekend.

Sad to know that it is very difficult to get a room because this weekend is public holiday together with school holiday. Pang suggested( I think he regretted to kepoh-kepoh suggest) my family to come over Penang for one or two day trip. I am not local and will even dong-sat-lou( lost myself )in Bayan Lepas area.

Hiak..Hiak..Hiak.. >:) Devilish smile appeared on my face..As he expected, he was half-forced to be tour guide this weekend to bring my family around Penang.

This is first Penang tour for my family and Pang hardly had good sleep for the entire week because he scared will disappoint the family.Pity him.. Friday nite, while waiting for my family from melaka at Halo Cafe, we drafted out the schedule .

2 June: Kek Lok Si, Bukit Bendera,Buy Penang Cookies @ Gi Hiong, Gurney Drive
3 June: Tesco Extra, Sleeping Buddha, Guan Yin Temple ,eat famous Chendol near Komtar

The first station ought to be Bukit Bendera, we reached Bukit Bendera at 11++..Needless to say, it is all the way jam to there, plus My dad and Pang managed to find car park which is 1-2KM away from there, and the queue to buy ticket was 20 meter away from the counter.We fight our way out to buy ticket for 4 pm, ticket earlier are all SOLD OUT!!~

Instead of waiting there, we continued our journey by going to Kek Lok Si first.

The sky turned dark

The sky start to turn dark, we quickly took the cable car (escalator car?) to leave the place. Before we get into our car, it started to rain cats and dogs. We decided to eat in the vegetarian restaurant in Kek Lok Si.

We worried that we couldn't leave the place by 3.30pm to make it to Bukit Bendera. Thank GOD!~the rain finally stopped after our lunch.

Finally we reached Penang Hill, Yeah!!~

After we came down from Penang Hill, we had our diner at Northem West near Gurney plaza.

We endded our day by going Halo cafe after Queensbay mall. It was Saturday night, the guitarist was a disaster.His voice is like a not-yet-transform-to-adult-kid's-voice. We had a all-hair-standing disastrous night. My friend even left a "唱歌不好听“ notes for him.

Reached home by 1am,tired but hang-fuk (happy) day with family and good friend. Really thank to him.
