台北第一天 桃园机场-〉台北车站-〉新北投

很久以前就和夏子计划好要去台北找她，
和她的联络没有间断过，一晃就过了两年。
下了飞机，我就搭国光号到台北车站，有夏子和柔嘉来接我，好感动。

台北给我的culture shock
1。厕纸，不管你做过大还是小，都不准冲进马桶，要丢到旁边的垃圾桶
2。捷运，不可以吃喝东西，树胶糖矿泉水等等都不可以，可是可以讲电话
捷运的票不是纸，而是塑胶钱币，像玩具（东京可以吃喝可是不能讲电话）
3。电动手扶梯，站着的时候靠右（东京靠左）
4。汽车驶道在右边

台北的街道象马来西亚的华人区。

夏子住在新北投，感觉像日本，那里有很多温泉，是旅游区，很多日本旅客。

20090912 KL Trip-Berry, Sis n Bf, Noel,Ash n Viv

Stayed one night in my sister's place in Sg Buluh, ate RM7 for one plate of chicken rice, kena poptong leher. Met Berry the old housemate, she is still looked the same cute.

Met Noel, my brother in Japan. He is doing well, I am so happy.

Had crazy nite with Ash and Vivien in Ash's house. Their driving skill dropped my jaw.Had great fun!!!Thanks them so much.

Looking forward to see you guys again!!May it be in Malaysia or Japan.

20090911 KL-cousin,nick,khoon hau,jiakai

A trip to KL at that Sep 11th weekend.
First experience after two years taking bus and LRT.
Not that bad but it makes me feel weird because the LRT in KL dun have schedule and there is nothing to check what time is the last train, unlike in Tokyo.

Met my lovely cousin, and old MMU Chinese Language Society friends in KL Pavilion.
Had great fun!!really..sometimes, not necessary new is good.

Knew her in a class when I offered myself to sit beside her.

We spent a lot of times in library together, attending classes together,studying together, laughed together, and grown up together.

I am glad that she has achieved her dream, really proud of her.

Yesterday was Susumu's Birthday party.
We had party at the kitchen of our floor.
It was fun and everyone cooked or bring something.

He got few presents but the most ridiculous one was fermented fish can from Sweden.
It smells like fart...gosh!!

The fireworks was organised by Kim Huey.

Kai made a Baju Kurung for me. He is so sweet and talented, proud being his friend.
And thank JO for coming too. Love them..is always feeling nice with good friends around.But wait..someone is missing..you better come back fast!!

20090718-21 Lab summer camp by beach

This is a custom where my lab will have get-to-stay-together-and-play-games kind of camping by seaside every year during summer.

Current students and the former students from the lab are welcomed to joined.
After two years, I getting used to the lab culture, and like being with them.

It was a pain in ass just sitting in the lab doing my own things two years ago, while what I could say is mostly 'wakarimasen'. Now I feel I am already one of them.

MMU juniurs Visit in Tokyo

Last month Malaysian from MMU Melaka make a visit to Tokyo. They came Japan for two weeks for the Nagoya-MMU friendship program which I joined few years ago.

Jeffrey's house is in Ayase, 2 minutes from the station.
Ayase is a happening place and you can almost get everything from the neighbourhood, food, clothes, bla bla bla...

Jeff cooks VERY WELL. Nowadays the zaman changed, guy cooks and all the gals just eat..haha..Thank you very much Jeff, and we had great fun.

20090429 Jenga + Temaki Sushi Party @ Tomo's House

Since we prepared Malaysian food during the picnic at Odaiba.
Tomo and Kiyoshi organised another party at their place in Tomo's house.

Sinting said me + 4 guys reminds her of Meteor Garden..aiyo..
The food was great and the Jenga was fun!!

On the way back, Noel had his craving for Cheese cake, so we went to the cheesecake shop at the Shibuya busiest crossroad. The taste wasn't that great though. mmmm...

Another picnic in Odaiba

The weather was nice, just got abundant of dogs at the field because there was some stupid dog gathering event. It was Sunday and Noel, me and Kai made some nice Malaysian food. Tomo and Kiyoshi joined us, it was very fun even some of them were meeting for the first time. Next party will be Japanese cuisine party, yeah!!!

MIJ Dinner @Shimokitazawa

After joining MIJ(Malaysian In Japan) yahoo group as a moderator for so long, this is first time I organise some dinner session for the group. Shping said don't expect a lot of people will come. A small place usually will do, even only two or three that is fine. I do think so, those people who really made their way there are those who really got heart, but there are some who really want to come but very hard to make it. This is called Yuan Fen ('fate'). Like a chance in your life, you want it, but you have other stuffs in hand and hard to make it. Or even you can make it, but you dun really want to take it. Those people who can meet the right timing and has the will, only can grab the chance.

6 participants, 2 new guys. Very fresh to Japan and has a lot to achieve. Seeing them like seeing myself one and half year ago. Knowing nothing but feel excited for new life. One and half year, might be short for a lot of people, but it seemed a long time for me, as if it was 3 or 4 years. Maybe this is because I have achieved a lot of things that I have wanted to do, know a lot of nice people, and has grown up a lot (grown old?)

The shop is an Indian-all-you-can-eat-shop. The same place as last time Shping organised, a very mamak place, easy to talk but not too expensive. The shop people there recognised me at once even I has never been there for a long time. It makes me feel that I am at home, in a mamak stall, speaking mandarin, manglish with people from the same home country.

Jeannete's trip to Tokyo

Jeannete home stayed in Nagoya since Jan till 1st April. Very kind family to let her stay for so long and I can see that they treat her like their own daughter as they always wanted one.

She came over Toko last week for a couple of days. Makoto helped me to take care of her sometimes and I make it to have fun with them when I have no part time or company seminar.
It was our first time to play in Disneyland whole day in rain, I just bought two things that day, one of them is raincoat which I find it indeed VERY useful. During her stay in Tokyo, we did not sleep for two nights, I slowly feel that I am in my aging state, quite hard for me to keep up with it.

End of this month Poong and friends will visit. Can't wait for to get Maggee mee from them..hiak hiak hiak hiak..

Mark's wedding

Mark is a Singaporean migrated to New Zealand. Very nice and charming guy. He found his happiness marrying to his Japanese wife. Really happy to see them and it was a night of sweetness..Ming was very touched by the scene, I think it must be a lot of memories of her wedding flash back.As there were a lot of Singaporean..we did 'YAM SENG!!!!' with full spirit, the Japanese there must be scared off and having culture shock ..haha..

To found someone you love and who love you back is not easy,let alone get married.
Wish them live happily ever after. ^^

My Birthday celebration

Just wonder why during every celebration in Japan, we go to KaraoK, new year also karaok, my brithday also karaoK..hehe..we are KaraoK king and queen.

Every year birthday celebration, my family will have dinner outside, we seldom eat out and it makes it a special day. Birthday is actually a day for the mother, she gave birth to me on this day, without her, without me. I know my family love me even they are far from me, but the closeness doesn't change even by little.

Thanks for all the friends for the birthday wishes..and thanks to Kai and Noel to spend the night with me.

Dave is Back!! aka Ming's closing ceremony

Dave is back!! but only for a couple of days. He is here for Ming's closing ceremony.

Attended Ming's closing ceremony last Tuesday, impressed by her cute dress and her speech.
Time flies, all we need to overcome the loneliness overseas is friends and I am so lucky to get to know Ming. It is fate, perhaps, we knew each other from Narita airport at the first day we came, luckily we get to contact back. She plays important role in my Japan life, I did learn a lot from her. She is smart and kind. It is one month from now, before she leaves, ~.~ woo.....sad

Chevrolet Antics Car show, Meiji Shrine, Harajuku, Hot spring

We did many things in one day.

First, Antic car shows at down stairs of my dorm, all of them are Chevrolet, Kim Ean was so excited.



Then Meiji Shrine and Harajuku visits



and lastly Hot spring at Ooedo Onsen which is 5 minutes walking distance from my dorm. It has a lot of themed hot springs(outdoor, indoor, milk, steamed/dry sauna..etc) , places for eat and to play traditional Japanese games and to watch the traditional Japanese shows. We can choose our own Yukata as well. Not so cheap to come here (1800 yen), but perhaps and come once per month to relax.
