Homestay Day 13-Asuke(足助),Bowling

Asuke(足助) is the best sport to see maple leaves during Autumn. It shows the old Japanese village and there are a lot of demonstrations on how they make a life in old time (around 1940).

The water is very clean

The Asuke Village

Left:Washroom (かわや処-all way in Japanese to say toilet)
Right:The vending machine to match the whole concept

seasoned 柚(orange)

The old stove and the well, which still can draw water from there

HIdemaru is wearing the sweater which the old time Japanese wore when there was big snow

干柿(boshi kaki)-dried persimmon

Toys, some we even played before

left:We received amasake(甘酒) a sweetdrink made from fermented rice.
right:machine to make cloth

The lady was making straw slipper

Paper-making house

Left:Japanese paper
Right:the wood is burnt to extract the fiber

In the display house showing 40's street, we acted the people in 40's

me..

Right:Radio

The lunch, contains Gohei mochi again. This is the best Japanese lunch set I ate in Japan

Bowling in Star bowl. In Malaysia the bowling center situated in shopping complex. In Japan, usually bowling is with Pachinko. The bowling shoes are nice, go to the vending machine of bowling shoes stating your size, put coin, and the shoes will come out (Just like how you buy drink)

It was fun, even I played badly..haha..
