Komaba Festival for International Students

駒場祭(Komaba Festival) for international students was held in Komaba Jacsso lodge last weekend. At the same time there was another 東大駒場祭(Komaba Festival for University of Tokyo). The difference was the first is consisted of activities by the international students and the second is by the students of University of Tokyo ,most of them are still undergraduates.

Walking through the Komaba Jacsso lodge, you would feel the atmosphere of internationality mixed Japanese culture. You could taste the food from different nations at the food stalls and most of them were very delicious, I tasted China Ba Bao Porridge, China sweet sour noodles, Australia cookies, Vietnam poh piah and Cambodian loh egg (卤蛋)which is very similar to those we eat normally because there are a lot of Chinese in that country.

The test wear for kimono for 30 minutes is free and they even help you to take studio photo. The girl standing on left one is Ming san from Singapore.

A tall guy (I am only half of him) from Scotland and two kawaii girls from Thai

I learnt how to arrange flower (Ikebana生け花) in Japanese style and it belongs to 小原流.

There were performances by international students in the hall. There were dancing and fashion which represents their own country and there was even Japanese drum performance. The above one is from Cambodian.
